Samsung has finally launched the highly-anticipated S10 series of smartphones in India. The Samsung Galaxy S10 is priced in India at Rs 66,900 for the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant. Whereas the 8GB RAM/ 512GB storage model costs Rs 84,900. While the 128GB storage model comes in three color options (Prism Black, Prism Blue, and Prism White), the 512GB storage variant will only be available in a Prism White color option.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S10+ comes with a price tag of Rs 73,900 for the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage model. While the 8GB RAM/ 512GB storage model costs Rs 91,900, the 12GB RAM/ 1TB storage variant will carry a price tag of Rs 1,17,900. While the 128GB storage comes in three colors (Prism Black, Prism Blue, and Prism White), the 512GB and 1TB storage variants will be available in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White color options.

The Samsung Galaxy S10e is priced in India at Rs 55,900. It will be available in both Prism Black and Prism White color options.

The new smartphones will be available from March 8, via online and offline channels. Pre-bookings will continue until Thursday, March 7. Pre-booking customers can get the Galaxy Watch smartwatch (worth Rs 29,990) at Rs 9,999. Whereas the Galaxy Buds headphones (worth Rs 9,990) will cost Rs 2,999. The earbuds will be available for Galaxy S10 series buyers Rs 4,999 until March 31

In the US, the Samsung Galaxy S10 price starts at $899.99 (approx Rs 63,900). While the Galaxy S10+ comes with a starting price of $999.99 (approx Rs 71,000), the Galaxy S10e costs $749.99 (roughly Rs. 53,300).

The highlight of the new Samsung Galaxy S10 series is the Infinity-O display panels with HDR10+ support and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. Apart from improved color accuracy, and outdoor visibility, the new displays come with blue light reduction features.

While the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ sports an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, the Samsung Galaxy S10e sports a capacitive fingerprint sensor (placed on the home button). Other sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, digital compass (magnetometer), gyroscope, heart rate sensor, proximity sensor, and RBG light sensor.

The new smartphone series comes with IP68-certification (dust and water resistance), fast wireless charging 2.0 (30 percent faster than the previous generation), and wireless PowerShare (allows users to charge other Qi Wireless charging devices such as the new Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Watch Active, and compatible smartphones).

The new handsets are also compatible with Quick Charge 2.0 and Adaptive fast charging. An Adaptive Power feature optimizes battery life based on user behavior. The ‘AI-powered’ devices also preload commonly used apps and recommend Bixby routines based on usage.

The dual-SIM smartphones are powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor (based on the 7nm process) in some regions and an octa-core Samsung Exynos 9820 8nm processor in other regions (including India). The Galaxy S10+ comes with Vapor Chamber cooling system.

Additional features include Android 9.0 Pie OS (with the company’s One UI customization on top) and a Dolby Atmos for gaming. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE (LTE Cat. 20), Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.

The new smartphone features a 6.1-inch curved Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display with a QHD+ resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 550ppi. It comes with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB/ 512GB (expandable up to 512GB).

The triple rear camera set up on the back comes with the company’s Dual OIS (optical image stabilization) technology and up to 10x digital zoom. It combines a 12-megapixel 77-degree lens (with 2PD autofocus, f/1.5 – f/2.4 variable aperture), a 12-megapixel 45-degree lens telephoto (0.5x – 2x optical zoom, autofocus, f/2.4 aperture), and a 16-megapixel 123-degree ultra-wide lens (fixed focus, f/2.2 aperture).

The premium smartphone features a larger 6.4-inch curved Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Display with QHD+ resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, and pixel density of 438ppi. It comes with 8GB/ 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB/ 512GB/ 1TB (expandable up to 512GB).

The Galaxy S10+ sports the same rear camera set up as the Galaxy S10. However, it comes with a dual front camera which combines a 10-megapixel primary sensor (2PD autofocus, f/1.9 aperture, 80-degree lens) with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor (fixed focus RGB depth sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 90-degree lens).

The handset measures 157.6 x 74.1 x 7.8mm and weighs 175 grams. It is backed by a 4,100mAh battery.

The lite variant sports a 5.8-inch Flat Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Display with full-HD+ resolution and a pixel density of 522ppi. It comes with 6GB/ 8GB RAM and 128GB/ 512GB (expandable up to 512GB).

In terms of optics, the Galaxy S10e features a dual camera setup on the back (offers 0.5x optical zoom, and up to 8x digital zoom). It combines a 12-megapixel primary sensor (77-degree wide-angle lens, 2PD autofocus, f/1.5 – f/2.4 variable aperture, OIS) and a 16-megapixel fixed focus secondary sensor (123-degree ultra-wide lens, f/2.2 aperture). The front camera set up is the same as the Galaxy S10.

The handset measures 142.2 x 69.9 x 7.9mm. It is backed by a 3,100mAh battery. While the sensors on the device are the same as Galaxy S10, the heart rate sensor is absent.

The single-SIM device comes with 5G (Sub-6GHz / mmWave 28GHz, 39GHz) connectivity option. It measures 162.6 x 77.1 x 7.94mm and weighs 198 grams. The Galaxy S10 5G is backed by a 4,500mAh battery. It comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage (non-expandable).

The handset sports a quad rear camera setup on the back. Samsung has added a 3D Depth sensor with an hQVGA resolution to the triple camera module on Galaxy S10. The dual camera set up on the front combines a 10-megapixel Dual Pixel AF sensor (f/1.9 aperture, 80-degree lens) and a 3D Depth Camera (hQVGA resolution).
