Panasonic has announced the launch of Toughpad rugged handheld tablets- FZ-E1 and FZ-X1 alongside semi-rugged Toughbook CF-54 in the Indian market. Both Toughpads are targeted towards enterprises. The Toughpad FZ-E1 is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs Windows Embedded 8.1 OS while the Toughpad FZ-X1 packs a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm S4 Pro processor and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. Other specifications include 8 mega pixel rear camera, 1.3 mega pixel front shooter and 3G connectivity.
Furthermore, these Toughpads can survive drops up to 10-feet and boast of dust and water resistance resistance with IP65/ IP68 ratings. Backed up by a 6200mAh battery, these Toughpads can offer up to 14 hours of battery life.

Panasonic India has launched two of its new generation products from the Toughbook series in India on 5th December 2012 in New Delhi India. These two devices are very unique in terms of the features they offer. Panasonic India has launched its latest offering in the toughbook series, the compact yet business rugged toughbook model, the CF-SX2 in India. The target customers of the Toughbook compact CF-SX2 are business and corporate users who have to use their laptops in difficult environments where there are high chances of physical damage to the laptops by accidental fall of laptop, or objects falling on laptop, or in fields where high reliability and mobility is involved like the health care sector.
