A new competitor in India’s mobile phone market, Tambo Mobiles has debuted with three smartphones and six feature phones. The smartphones have been categorized as ‘Superphones’ and are available in black, champagne and blue colours. Meanwhile, the feature phones are categorized as ‘Powerphones’. Both the categories fall under a price range of Rs. 600 to Rs. 7,000.
Commenting on the launch, Sudhir Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Tambo said, “We are delighted to launch Tambo in the Indian handset market and aim to make mobility accessible and affordable for everyone. We understand our target audience and have kept them in mind while developing phones that are superior in quality, design, and engineering. Tambo Superphones and Powerphones have the latest features specifically designed to provide a seamless experience. We strive to provide advanced products at an affordable price that is high on innovative specs and can be easily used by one and all.”

Tambo Mobiles Specifications And Features
The phones have been designed for a user-friendly convenient use. The Superphones are built on infinity display design and 5.54-inch full lamination bright display. The Superphones also sports a fingerprint sensor and face recognition feature. The devices are backed by a 3,000mAh battery pack. The devices are 4G-enabled. They are powered by a Quad-Core MediaTek processor, clocked at 1.25GHz. The processor allows multitasking with considerable ease. The fingerprint sensor allows bio-metric security. They also have OTG support feature.
In the camera department, the Superphones come with an 8-megapixel AF rear camera backed with flash and Samsung sensor. On the front, the Superphones are equipped with a 5-megapixel camera and flash. The camera comes with burst mode, panorama mode, Face beauty, and stickers.

The Powerphones have features like dedicated music keys, 60-day battery standby, time talker, 22 Language support etc. The Superphones and Powerphones will be available at retail outlets spread across India.
Tambo Mobiles has promised a service warranty of 200 days replacement with the warranty of one-time screen replacement within 365 days of buying the phone. The company aims to have more than 600 service centers by the end of FY 2018. The company is currently based out of Noida.
