The Xiaomi Mi 6X is expected to launch at the upcoming MWC 2018. As of now, there is no information about Indian launch date or price. It might be launched as Mi A2 in India. However, Xiaomi is yet to confirm any details about the upcoming device. So, the information about the new device should be taken with a pinch of salt.

The Xiaomi Mi 6X is expected to be powered by an octa-core Xiaomi Surge S2 processor (4 x 2.2GHz Cortex-A73 cores +  4 x 1.8GHz Cortex-A53 cores) along with a Mali G71 MP8 GPU, LPDDR4 RAM and UFS 2.1 storage.

As per recent leaks, the upcoming smartphone will feature a vertical dual camera setup (similar to iPhone X). The Xiaomi Mi 5X sports a horizontal dual rear camera setup.

As per new leaks, the upcoming smartphone is expected to sport an iPhone X-like design. It is tipped to feature a 5.99-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Two separate design leaks show a similar design in Black and Gold colour variants.

A fingerprint sensor will be placed on the back. Just like Mi 5X, the upcoming device is likely to run stock Android One operating system.

The Xiaomi Mi 5X was launched in July 2017. It was rebranded as Mi A1 in India. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor (seen on Redmi Note 4) and 4GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB). The new handset is backed by a 3,080mAh battery. It features a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The dual camera setup on the back combines a 12-megapixel 26mm wide-angle lens with a 12-megapixel 50mm telephoto lens. Camera features include 2X optical zoom, 1.25um pixels, a special Portrait mode, and a Beautify mode.
