Video Review

Display

With a 5-inch full HD one glass display solution and at 1920×1080 pixels resolution, the Zen Ultraphone looks to make its way to the top. A 441 pixel density accompanied by Gorilla Glass protection is reasonably good for any smart phone.

Build Quality

A magnesium frame makes this phone lighter yet stronger. A metallic finish all around gives 701 a subtle, sleek and premium look.

This Dual SIM phone is supported by 1.5 GHz quad core processor. This helps give you good results in high demanding games and heavy applications. The proximity and light sensors help to control unwanted ‘ear dialing’. The keys at the bottom are touch capacitive and the 13 MP camera will make sure you don’t need your usual camera anymore, not to forget the front snapper of 8 MP which is a first of its kind in this segment and which would give a new meaning to HD Video calls on apps like Skype.

Box contents and Accessories

As a promotional campaign, you get a flip cover with it, though this offer is valid for only some time but this is quite an idea to grab eye balls. This cover also has a small cut-out window that ensures you don’t have to open the cover each time a phone rings. You can check the time and even accept or reject calls, without opening the flap. You also get 3.5 mm earphones that are very good and you will not have to buy another set even if you are a music person. You also get a USB to Micro USB anti-tangle cable and obviously standard documentation, wall charger etc.

Gaming and Graphics

This is where most of the smart phones are still not able to score much but this phone has a different story to tell. We tried playing Front line commando, Dead trigger and modern combat 4 to tell you more about the graphics and here what we found out.
In all the other games, the viewing angles were great, display was remarkable, playing was fun and graphics were grand. The game-play was smooth except for Modern combat 4, where there was some lag but a heavy game like this can be a little demanding for many devices.

Pricing

The current price of Rs.17999 at Major online stores make this phone a great buy among its peers because of the sheer features it boasts of.

Verdict

We put the phone through Antutu benchmark and it came out flying with an impressive score of 15530. So our verdict is that it is indeed a smart phone with an above average specification and a reasonable price loaded with some new features. Go for it!!
