The Asus ZenFone Max (M1) (ZB555KL) sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) resolution, an 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm processor (Snapdragon 425 / Snapdragon 430) and up to 3GB RAM. The 32GB internal storage can be further expanded via a dedicated card slot (up to 256GB).

In terms of optics, the new Asus ZenFone Max sports dual-rear camera setup with dual-LED flash on the back. It combines a 13-megapixel primary sensor (with a f/2.0 aperture, and PDAF), and a secondary 8-megapixel secondary sensor (with a 120-degree wide-angle lens). The 8-megapixel front camera comes with a f/2.2 aperture.

The new handset is backed by a 4,000mAh battery that offers up to 36 hours of talk time on 3G, and 41 days of standby time on 4G.

A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back (capable of unlocking the device in as little as 0.5 seconds). The new smartphone also comes with a Face Unlock feature.
