Ubislate 7C+ Edge With Calling And 3G Launched At Rs. 5999

Datawind, the company responsible for making the Aakash tablet which happens to be the world’s cheapest tablet for the students in India has just launched a new tablet for the Indian market. The tablet is expected to be the Aakash 3 in near future and will replace the Aakash 2 tablet. However, the company has named it Ubislate 7C+ Edge. It is expected to be a budget tablet and is available for sale now for Rs.5,999.

The highlight of the tablet is the fact that it comes with calling facility. There are rumours of the Aakash 3 getting a calling facility are doing the rounds and they might just see a materialisation in near future. It will be a 7 inch tablet and will have a resolution of 800×480 pixels. It will be powered by a 1 GHz single core processor and will run on a slightly older version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich.

Google Nexus 7 Officially Available In India- Buy Online From Google

Google is now finally shipping its hardware in India. Starting with the tablets first, Google brought the base model of their tablets that is the Nexus 7, 16GB wifi only variant in India. Google Nexus 7 is the 7-inch Android tablet which has is manufactured by ASUS. The scratch-resistant Corning glass with back-lit IPS display features a 7-inch 1280×800 pixels resolution HD display with 216 pixels-per-inch density. It measures 198.5 x 120 x 10.45mm in dimensions and 340 gms in weight. It runs on NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and 1 GB RAM by 4325 mAH which gives up to 8 hours of active usage.

Aakash 3 Tablet Details Leaked- 1 GHz Processor, 512 RAM, SIM Slot Included

According to Datawind website the third generation of Aakash is expected to launch in mid-2013. Some of the specification is given on the Datawind official website but still its not clear that which operating system it is going to support. The specification is still have to be finalized by the NMEICT (National Mission for Education through Information Communication Technology) before end of March 2013. But it is clear that it going to support SIM card. The IIT Madras is working on this project very hard.

This tablet has Cortex 1 GHz processor with 512 MB RAM. There are 4GB internal memory support. The display is capacitive with multi touch. There is VGA front facing camera for video calling. And a G-sensor too. For connectivity there is Wi-Fi support too. And other features are still is not available. We will soon update you more in the future.

iBall has launched the iBall Edu-Slide i-1017 a new budget tablet for the Indian market especially for students. iBall Edu-Slide i-1017 features a 10.1-inch screen with a 1280X800 pixels resolution. The tablet packs a dual-core Cortex A9 processor which clocks up to 1.5GHz along with G400 mali GPU. It comes with 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system with 8GB of internal storage available on the device, which can be expanded via additional microSD card. It also features a 2-megapixel rear shooter and a VGA front camera.

As the tablet is designed for students, it comes pre-loaded with educational software content by eTeach. It comprises of education material for I to XII standard students in both CBSE and SSC (Maharashtra) in English medium. The tablet also offers Marathi medium content of SSC students from standards V to X.

But yes the highlight is the SIM card slot which will help you use 3G on the tablet and also make calls. There’s a primary camera for clicking pictures with a 2.0 megapixel resolution and the secondary camera has a resolution of 0.3 megapixels which will come in handy for video-calling.

Zync has announced three new tablets named as Dual 7.0, Quad 8.0 and Quad 9.7 in India. These tablets have been named on the basis of their screen sizes and processor specs and priced accordingly below ₹14,000.

The Dual 7.0 as the name suggests sports a 7-inch WVGA multi-touch capacitive screen offering 800×480 pixels resolution and packs in a 1.6GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM. Other features include a 2-megapixel back camera and 0.3-megapixel front camera with 8GB internal memory and a 3000mAh battery.
