The new handset is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor along with PowerVR GE8320 GPU and 3GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot (up to 512GB).
In terms of optics, the Honor 8A Pro sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with an LED flash and f/1.8 aperture. For selfies and video calling, it comes equipped with an 8-megapixel front camera.

The Honor 8A Pro runs on Android 9 Pie operating system with EMUI 9.0 on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Glonass, and a Micro-USB 2.0 port.
The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 6.09-inch IPS display with HD+ (720 x 1560 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of 283ppi. It measures 156.28 x 73.5 x 8mm and weighs 150 grams.
Additional features on the device include a 3,020mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor.
