Huawei’s Honor brand has launched its Honor 4X smartphone in the Indian market. Priced at Rs. 10,499, it will go on sale exclusively through Flipkart. First flash sale will be conducted on March 30th 2015 while pre-bookings are now open and buyers can register till 29th March midnight. Honor 4X will compete with the likes of Yu Yureka and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G in the Indian market which lie in the sub-Rs.10,000 price category. Processor
The processor powering all three phones is Qualcomm Snapdragon coupled with 2 GB of RAM. Honor 4X is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. Yu Yureka packs a 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz.
Operating System
Honor 4X and Redmi Note 4G run Android 4.4 KitKat wrapped under Emotion UI 3.0 and MIUI version 5 respectively. Yu Yureka on the other hand runs Cyanogen 11 based Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system.
Display
Display size of all three phones is 5.5 inch with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and 267 ppi pixel density which offers sharp and clear viewing experience.
Camera

There is 8 GB of inbuilt storage on Honor 4X and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G which is further expandable up to 32 GB and 64 GB respectively. Yu Yureka houses 16 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.
Battery & Connectivity
Battery capacity of Redmi Note 4G is the largest at 3100 mAh followed by 3000 mAh battery of Honor 4X and 2500 mAh battery of Yu Yureka.
All the three handset, besides 4G support offer Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS as connectivity options. Dual SIM Honor 4X comes with dual 4G LTE support.
Price
The Yu Yureka phone carries the lowest price tag of Rs. 8,999 and can be purchased only through online flash sales. Redmi Note 4G is priced at Rs. 9,999 and can be grabbed from online retailers like Snapdeal, Amazon and Flipkart while Honor 4X will be available at Rs. 10,499 exclusively on Flipkart through online flash sales.
Verdict
With all the three handsets Honor 4X vs Yu Yureka vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G offering nearly identical specs, competition among these phones looks beautifully poised. They have a lot of features like decent cameras, 4G support and large displays to offer at affordable price. Honor 4X flaunts rich configuration, decent battery capacity and dual-4G support, but it comes with a slightly higher price tag than its rivals. Thus, it remains to be seen whether Honor 4X would be able to lure customers in the Indian market where equally capable rival smartphones from established brands are already dominating or not.
