Shenzen-based Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus looks set to launch its upcoming flagship smartphone, OnePlus 6. Several specifications of this device have already been revealed by the company. In its most recent teaser video, the smartphone manufacturer has confirmed another feature of the upcoming mobile phone.
In its latest official tweet, the company revealed that the OnePlus 6 will be water resistant.

The Chinese company tweeted a three-second video in which one can see raindrops falling. It is followed with a caption which reads, “Don’t you just hate it when you have to stop using your phone when it rains? So do we.” The post totally indicates that the smartphone will be water resistant, making it the first OnePlus smartphone to come with a water-resistant rating.
The device is also expected to come with an IP68 rating. A smartphone is backed by an IP68 rating, when it is deemed fit enough to withstand dust, dirt, sand, and are resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of 1.5m underwater for up to thirty minutes.
In another teaser, the company’s co-founder Pete Lau uploaded some images on Weibo. He claimed that the images have been clicked with the OnePlus 6 smartphone.
OnePlus has already confirmed that the upcoming flagship smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 processor (paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage). This is also the first time, that the company is going to launch a 256GB variant smartphone. The device is expected to sport a dual camera setup with 16MP+20MP rear sensors. On the front, it is speculated to have a 20MP sensor with biometrics to assist in facial unlock. It is also speculated, that it will be built with a 3450mAh battery, which is better than its predecessors.
The device will be sold in three variants– 6GB RAM+64GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. According to speculative reports, the 64GB variant will be sold for Rs 33,999-36,999. The 128GB variant will be sold for Rs 38,999-42,999. Meanwhile, the premium 256GB variant will be sold for Rs 44,999-48,999.
OnePlus 6 will reportedly come with a notch in the top part of the display. It is expected to be launched on 5th May 2018, in China (according to a leaked press invite).
