Twitter Leak: Company Reveals That A Bug Exposed User Passwords

Microblogging platform Twitter asked its users on 3rd May 2018 to change their passwords. This notice was due to a Twitter leak caused by a software bug. According to the company, they had “unmasked” passwords by mistake through a software bug. The company mentioned that the data hasn’t been exposed to any hackers. But Twitter urged its users to change their passwords for safety.

Amazon Launches A Low-Storage Consuming Android Browser For India

American e-commerce and cloud company Amazon has quietly released a new lite web browser for Android smartphones, called the Internet. In Google Play Store, it has been described as “lighter than the competition”. The app has been designed to consume less space on a device. It comes under 2MB in size and covers up to just 26MB of storage space in a device. The company claims, that the browser offers private user experience by not asking any additional permissions like other browsers to collect data. The browser is available for download via Google Play. It is compatible with smartphones running Android 5.0 Marshmallow and above.

Finally after so long Amazon launches its marketplace in India today on 5th June 2013. Amazon, world’s first and largest e-commerce website starting from the year 1995 as the online book store turned out to be selling literally everything.

Following the same trend, Amazon India today has launched with 7 million print books across 200 plus categories including fiction, management, children’s books and academic publications and a collection of over 12,000 titles in English and Hindi across DVD, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D and Video CD formats. Amazon.in has committed that they will introduce Mobile Phones and Cameras in the coming weeks.

Facebook Verified Profiles And Pages Feature Launched

To make it easier for people to find the authentic presence of the person or Page, Facebook is rolling out verified Pages to both desktop and mobile web. This will create a better user experience and help increase authentic engagement on Facebook, specifically with celebrities, journalists, government officials, and popular brands and businesses. If you are the owner of a Facebook page, you don’t need to worry. There is no action required for Page admins to add a verification badge. In the coming days, Facebook will automatically verify the largest Pages on Facebook that are at the greatest risk of duplication. At this time Facebook is not accepting verification requests for all Pages. It will be interesting to see how it rolls out to the lesser known local brands and what’s the criteria to get verified for smaller brands and businesses.
