Swipe Telecom, a California based company has been launching new products every now and then in India and with the voice calling tablets getting an affinity amongst the Indians off late, has launching a calling tablet in India. It runs on the latest version of Android and it comes with a slew of pre loaded applications and voice recording. It gets an Olive Office Premium Suite as well.
Leader in computer peripherals now got into complete products. Kobian unvieled their super slim tablet mTAB7G with a thickness of 10.8mm and just 300gms in weight. mTAB7G runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich by a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor to provide faster access to the applications. It has 4GB internal memory which is expandble up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. It also features dual camera and HD inbuilt speaker which adds to the good multimedia experience. Connectivity options include 3G, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n support and don’t to forget the SIM calling.
Wickedleak has been slowly and steadily giving itself a strong footing in India by bringing some more than value for money products to the Indian market, and after the Wammy Desire tablet became a hit amongst the Indians, the company has launched the Wammy Desire II. The tablet has some real good internals and the price tag seems just too less for the specs on offer. It has been priced at Rs.9,999 and now let us talk about the specs of the tablet.
The iPad mini rivaling Galaxy Note 510 or Galaxy Note 8.0 has just gone on sale in India and the device can be ordered from Samsung’s estore for Rs.30,900. The tablet comes in two variants, Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi+3G. The Galaxy Note 8.0 has basically the same heart as the Galaxy Note 2 but it has a much bigger screen to power instead. The Galaxy Note 8.0 as the name suggests has a 8.0 inch screen which is a 720p display unit.
Under the hood is a 1.6GHz quad core Exynos processor of Cortex A9 architecture. It will join hands with 2 gigs of RAM to help it multitask pretty well. The tablet runs on the latest version of Android, 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and it is highly likely that will get updates in future as well. The tablet supports calling functionality and in addition to it, has the much famed S-Pen integrated neatly into its back which offers a slew of software goodies.
We recently brought to you the news of Spice launching its first calling tablet and joining it will be the Intex i-buddy connect tablet which is a dual SIM tablet and offers calling functionality. It has been launched at a price of Rs.9,990 and the specifications of the device are such that they make the Spice Slatepad seem overpriced by a big margin as the Intex offering has the same pricing as the Spice Slatepad but offers way more in terms of functionality and features.
Intex i-buddy has dual SIM slot and one of them will support 3G connectivity while the other one will support 2G connectivity. It will feature voice calling as well. It is a 7 inch tablet and it runs on a slightly older version of Android, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich when most of the companies are shifting to Jelly Bean. The tablet will support 5 touches at one point and powering the device will be a 1GHz dual core processor which will team up with a 1GB RAM.
Fly Mobiles, and India based mobile phone brand today launched 4 new products in India which includes 3 Android based smartphones the F51, F45s and F40 and one Android Tablet the F8 in India. Samsung has just announced the latest iteration of its budget tablet series, the Galaxy Tab series. Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 will take over from the Galaxy Tab 2 and will come with a Galaxy S4-ish design. It looks like a tad smaller version of the Galaxy Note 8.0. It will come in both 3G and Wi-Fi guises and the 3G variant will feature the calling functionality and Samsung has even added up a proximity sensor to the device to take care of the display when you are calling.
The Galaxy Tab 3 gets lighter in weight and more compact in size as compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab 2. The tablet comes with a 7 inch capacitive display unit which has a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. This is pretty much what was offered on the Tab 2 and there’s nothing new bout the display. Powering the tablet will be a 1.2 GHz dual core processor (most probably a Broadcomm unit ) which will be coupled with a 1GB RAM for multitasking.
It will come with two memory options of 8GB and 16GB. The storage of the device can be expanded via a microSD card slot by upto 64GB. It gets Bluetooth in addition to Wi-Fi and 3G for added connectivity. Giving the tablet juice will be a 4,000 mAH battery which shall last around 7-8 hours according to us. It launches with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which seems a bit underwhelming seeing the fact that Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update is already here.
It gets a 3.0 megapixel rear camera for occasional clicks as well and to supplement it will be a 1.3 megapixel front camera. The Wi-Fi only model will start its global roll out in May with the 3G and Wi-Fi variant joining the ranks in June. The Galaxy Tab 2 has just had its price dropped significantly and will get another revision for sure when the next generation comes in. Seeing the fact that it’s not much of an upgrade, the Tab 2 makes somewhat a lot more sense.
