Vivo Y89 Launched With 6.26-Inch Display, Snapdragon 626 SoC

Vivo has launched yet another Y-series smartphone in the Chinese market. The Vivo Y89 comes with a Snapdragon 626 processor, dual rear cameras, fingerprint scanner, and a 3,260mAh battery. The Vivo Y89 is priced in China at CNY 1,598 (approx Rs 16,700). It is available on AliExpress. The new smartphone comes in Aurora Purple and Black Gold color options.

The new handset is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 626 processor and 4GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a micro SD card (up to 256GB). It is backed by a 3,260mAh battery.

In terms of optics, the Vivo Y89 sports a dual camera setup (vertically aligned) on the back. It combines a 16-megapixel primary sensor with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies and video calling, the handset sports a 16-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Camera features include professional mode, panorama, beauty, AR shoot, backlight photo, blur photo, slow motion, and filter.

The Vivo Y89 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. It comes with facial recognition feature and a fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB OTG support.

The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.26-inch display with full-HD+ resolution. It measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89mm and weighs 149.3 grams. Sensors on the device include a proximity sensor, photosensitive sensor, gravity sensor, and gyroscope.

Recently, the company launched the Vivo Z3i Standard Edition smartphone in China at CNY 1,998 (approx Rs 20,900). It comes in Aurora Blue, Dream Pink, and Starry Night Black color options. The new smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor along with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB).

In terms of optics, the Vivo Z3i Standard Edition sports a dual camera setup on the back. It comes with a 16-megapixel primary sensor (f/2.0 aperture) and a 2-megapixel sensor (f/2.4 aperture). The highlight of the device is a 24-megapixel front camera (f/2.0 aperture). The new handset is backed by a 3,315mAh battery.
