Xiaomi has launched a new 12.5-inch variant of its Notebook Air. It is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor. The new Intel Core i5 variant is priced in China at CNY 3,999 (approx Rs 40,500). It is available for pre-sale on Mi.com and JD.com. Interested users can book their device by paying CNY 100 up front. As of now, there is no confirmation about the Indian price or launch date.

The new Mi Notebook Air 12.5-inch model is powered by the 7th gen Intel Core i5-7Y54 processor along with Intel HD Graphics integrated graphics 615 and up to 4GB RAM. The 256GB SSD storage can be further expanded.

The new laptop supports 1C fast charge. It can last up to 8 hours of online video playback, 7.5 hours of local video playback, and 7.5 hours of web browsing. For HD (720p) video calling, the laptop sports a 1-megapixel web camera.

Conclusion

The Intel Core M3 processor variant was initially launched in 2016. Last year, the company launched the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro in three variants. The Intel Core i7-powered variants with 16GB RAM and 8GB RAM are priced at CNY 6,999 (approx Rs 68,500) and CNY 6,399 (approx Rs 62,600), respectively. An Intel Core i5-powered processor with 8GB RAM comes at CNY 5,599 (approx Rs 55,000).
