Lenovo, the name that reads performance computing in a finer print has just launched the first budget tablet from their stable in the Indian market and this tablet comes as quite a relief from the budget tablets on offer. The Ideapad A2107 is the name and the tablet comes at a pocket-friendly price tag of Rs.13,999 and is readily available on e-commerce websites and the Lenovo stores all over the country.

The Ideapad comes with a dual-SIM functionality which most of the budget brands have failed to provide despite all their smartphones having a dual-SIM functionality on offer. The tablet has a handy 7 inch LED capacitive screen and will support register a touch at 7 points. The screen has a display resolution of 1024×600 pixels and 320 nits brightness is on offer for that crisp display.

Sony Xperia Mobile Phone Prices Cut In India

Sony has just announced the latest crop of their Android flagships which shall hit the shelves by March this year but where does that leave the previous generation of mobiles? At a reduced price to cater to the volume segments. Sony’s Xperia lineup of phones which was known for the good looks and dual core processors in 2012 has just got itself a price cut, which makes them all the more a better deal to buy.

The least priced dual core processor, the Xperia U has received a price cut of Rs.1,000 which makes the least priced dual core offering from Sony an all the more better buy. It now retails for Rs.13,990 down from Rs.14,990 at which it retailed before. The weather proof Xperia Go and their upper mid range device Xperia Sola are now selling for a price of Rs.14,590 and with the Jelly Bean update soon to come by, it is hard to avoid the presence of these phones.

The next Sony camera flagship has been launched in India and it is the Sony RX1. It was launched at PhotoKina 2012 first and then the countries starting receiving it. Sony has launched the RX1 camera at a price of Rs.1,79,990. It is pretty much a product that gives you the sheer joy of photography for the price you pay for it so even though it may look steep to some, it is not that steep.

The Sony RX1’s USP is that it is the first point and shoot camera to pack in a 35mm full-frame 24.3- megapixel sensor with a wide f/2.0 aperture fixed-focal lens. The sensor found in the RX1 is 2.3 times than most of the APS-C sensors in you’ll find on most DSLR cameras and is 7.3 times bigger than their own RX100 point and shoot camera.

The LG nexus 4 (read as raw power) has been making waves world over due to the sheer processing power it offers at half the price of its competition. Swipe telecom, a name that most of us might not have really heard in the Indian smartphone market has slowly started increasing its consumer base in India. The California headquartered company has just launched their next flagship Swipe F1 Phablet in India at a price of Rs.9,490 which is Rs.500 up from the pre-order price of Rs.8,990. The Swipe F1 phablet is a 5″ smartphone and shall compete with the Micromax A110 Canvas 2.

Swipe telecom has offered several budget tablets and is now trying to strengthen their phablet arena. The F1 is a dual-SIM 5″ phablet and runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice cream Sandwich with no announcement of a Jelly Bean update and runs on a 1 GHz Dual-core Mediatek MTK 6575 processor and assisting the processor is a 512 MB RAM. These specifications even though are not ground breaking, but still are similar to the rivals and are offered at a slightly lower price point.
