Lenovo Launches 5 Tablets– A1000 Android With Calling Priced At Rs. 8999 Only

Lenovo India, which is already very active in computing devices space in India with their Desktops, Laptops, All in One and recently launched Smartphones has not entered the low cost tablet space with the Lenovo A1000 Android Tablet with 7 inch display and calling feature. The A1000 is decently loaded when it comes to specifications and features and offers nice build quality at appealing price point of Rs. 8999 only.

Lenovo has also launched 4 more tablets along with it across portfolio including- Lenovo A3000, S6000, ThinkPad Tablet 2, IdeaPad Lynx K3011. Lets have a more detailed look at each of these products.

Karbonn A11+ Budget Android Smartphone Launched In India for Rs. 5849

Karbonn Mobiles launched Karbonn A11+ the low end Android smartphone in India. Karbonn A11+ is a low-end smartphone aimed at providing users with Android experience at low pricing. With the big screens trending and being much in demand, Karbonn managed to include a 4.7-inch screen with a FWVGA display powered by 1 GHz processor which comes with dual SIM support. It has a 3.2-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Running on ICS Android 4.0 operating system it only supports EDGE data service where India is moving to 3G.

Samsung to launch Galaxy Note 3 on September 4th in Berlin

Samsung today on 5 August 2013 announced the Samsung Unpacked 2013 Episode 2, the second iteration to the yearly Unpacked event. Early this year Samsung announced Galaxy S4 in New York City at the first unpacked event on March 14th and now for the first time holding another unpacked event in the same year for another big unveiling.

Samsung Unpacked events are generally for flagships announcements and after Galaxy S4, Samsung has the next Note waiting. Though there has been no clear news that what will be announced but it is expected for Note 3. The Unpacked 2013 Episode 2 is scheduled for September 4th just before IFA in Berlin itself. Samsung had launched the Note and the Note II in 2011 and 2012 IFAs respectively and Note III was expected at this IFA itself but it looks like they will give Note a separate launch event.

Summarising the rumors, Note 3 is expected to arrive with a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 13MP rear camera and Android 4.3 JellyBean OS. It is expected to pack the latest Exynos 5 Octa 5420 and Snapdragon 800 processor varying with region and 3GB of RAM. It is also expected to come with LTE advanced (LTE-A) support for selected markets.

The Samsung Unpacked 2013 event on 4th September, 2013 in Berlin, Germany at 7:00 PM CEST (10:30 PM IST) would be live streamed on Samsung’s YouTube channel probably.

Namo Android devices named after the Gujarat cheif minister of India Narendra Modi abbreviated as NaMo. These Namo devices are a range of devices out of one which is Smart Namo Android Phablet.

Smart Namo Android Phablet sports a 6.5 inch Full HD Display of 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.5GHz clocked Quad Core processor and 3100mAh battery. Along with 2GB of RAM, the phablet has 32GB of internal memory which can be further expanded via microSD card up to 32GB. This device features a 13 MP auto focus camera with LED Flash which is capable of 1080p Full HD video recording along with the front camera of 2MP.
This Namo device runs on Jellybean 4.2.1 Android mobile operating system which can be upgradable to Jellybean 4.2.2 Android OS in near future. This phablet also comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, aGPS all of which is packed within 9.5mm of thickness and 230 grams weight.

Comparison

Recently launched Namo devices is unlike any other budget smartphones in India which have already stagnated the market so what’s the point of something more. It basically is for the promotion of Gujarat Cheif Minister Narendra Modi as the elections are coming up which is pretty much understandable by everyone. This Smart Namo Phablet also uses MediaTek SoC alike every other budget smartphone in India. MediaTek has got so much from the smartphone manufacturers due to its low-cost and good performance which makes it the best option. This Smart Namo Phablet uses MT6589T which is the next generation chipsets which turbo boost. Now what we want to see is how well it performs because Rs. 21,111 for a 6.5 inch phablet is just touching its limits and who knows Namo might rise.
