The notch on Apple’s iPhone X has been a contentious topic, ever since the information was leaked online. Apple was taunted by many Android manufacturers (including Samsung), but the notch has slowly become a design inspiration for Android smartphone designers. Apple’s concept of a full-screen display with a notch has become a benchmark, or rather a conceptual idea for smartphone companies. The notch permits more screen space. It allows more space for usable elements. Now it has been leaked by a Dutch online publication Mobielkopen, that even Samsung will be using the notch on their next upcoming smartphone.
