As far as specifications of the phone are concerned, it is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor paired with Mali-T860 GPU. The device features a 5.5-inch HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. It houses 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

The main highlight of these phones is their Moto Mods magnetic snap-on rear panels that allow users to snap on an external accessory or module to it. These modules are called Moto Mods and include JBL SoundBoost to boost the audio output of the device and Moto Insta-Share that converts the device into a projector. The Moto Style Shells make use of premium finishes like real leather, wood or patterned fabric. There is a Power Pack module as well, that is said to boost the battery life of the phone by up to 23 hours.
