Panasonic has unveiled two new Eluga series smartphones in the Indian market. Both the Eluga X1 and Eluga X1 Pro comes with an IR Face Unlock feature and wireless charging support. The mid-range smartphones share the same design (display notch and glass on both sides). Price Rs 22,990

The Panasonic Eluga X1 is priced in India at Rs 22,990. It comes bundled with a pair of Panasonic headphones. Whereas the Panasonic Eluga X1 Pro costs Rs 26,990 and ships with a wireless charger. Both smartphones will be available across the country from October 10.

Both the Eluga X1 and Eluga X1 Pro sport a 6.18-inch FHD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Both handsets are powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor. The internal storage can be further expanded via a micro SD card (up to 256GB).

In terms of optics, both smartphones sport a dual rear camera setup on the back. It combines a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an LED flash. There is also a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.

Camera features include Scene Recognition Technology, Face Beauty mode, Face Emoji, Bokeh effect, Live photos, Backlight effect, Timelapse, Professional mode, and Group Selfie mode. Additionally, the company’s proprietary function called AI Sense unlocks the device using face recognition in less than half a second.

Both smartphones are backed by a 3000mAh battery and support wireless charging.

Both the Panasonic Eluga X1 and Eluga X1 Pro sport a stainless body and 2.5D curved glass on the front. Both devices feature a 6.18-inch display along with full-HD+ (1080 x 2246 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The dual-SIM smartphones run Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, and USB Type-C port.

Additionally, the Eluga X1 and Eluga X1 Pro come with the company’s AI-based ARBO Hub app. It can be used for cab bookings, bill payments, news, cricket, and horoscope among others. Currently, there are over 20 apps on board for the Arbo Hub, including Uber, Ola, Newspoint, and MobiKwik.

Both smartphones come in Silver and Dark Grey color options. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, hall sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
