Price and Availability

The Sony Xperia XA3 and Xperia XA3 Plus smartphones are expected to be launched at the MWC 2019 this month. As of now, there is no confirmation about the Indian price or launch date.

As per recent rumors, the Xperia XA3 and Plus might actually be called the ‘Xperia 10’ and ‘Xperia 10 Plus’. Whereas the Xperia XZ4 might be launched as the ‘Xperia 10Z’.

According to the latest leaks, the Sony Xperia XA3 sports a 5.9-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2160pixels) resolution. It is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor along with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

In terms of optics, the Xperia XA3 will sport a dual camera setup on the back. It will measure at 155.7 x 68.3 x 8.4mm. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the side (similar to previous Sony devices).

The new handset runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and a USB Type-C port.

Sony Xperia XA3 Plus

Both handsets sport a similar design. However, the Plus variant comes with a larger display. The Sony Xperia XA3 Plus will sport a 6.5-inch display with a 21:9 aspect ratio (termed as Cinemawide) and full HD (1080p) resolution. It is expected to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

On the plastic back panel, the handset will also feature a dual rear-camera setup with dual LED flash. Whereas the fingerprint scanner will be placed on the side (between the volume rocker and the power button).

The upcoming smartphone is tipped to come in Black, Gold, and Silver color options. It will measure 167.4 x 73.3 x 8.3mm. The upcoming handset also runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system and feature similar connectivity options as the Xperia XA3.

Conclusion

The new handsets are the successors of the Sony Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 (launched in February this year). On the other hand, the successor of Xperia XA2 Plus (launched in July 2018) is said to be priced at EUR 519 (approx Rs 41,700).
