iPhone 5 has been feeling the heat of the launch of the latest crop of flagships from its rivals. And the heat that it’s been feeling for a while is all set to go north with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One. These smartphones will start hitting the stores globally by April end-May start and iPhone 5 will be the one that will be the worst hit in terms of performance so Apple needs something great to bounce back.
‘Apple is going to launch a new iPhone that will support dual SIM feature’, sounds good, but ‘no’ there is not any type of news from Apple. I am just kidding and don’t expect it from Apple in the near future too. Users want this feature because it’s not good to carry two phones at a same time. And it becomes very frustrating some time switching your SIM card time to time and even when you are travelling to other countries than it becomes a hazard switching SIM card. Apple iPhone has many features that a user want in his phone, but this feature of dual SIM capability is not going to available in iPhone. But still you can use alternative of dual SIM capability by kickstarter’s SIM+.
Apple has been shortening the life cycles of its products by launching their next generations even before an year is completed. This may result in customers resenting to them but Apple always finds new customers for themselves. Now the latest report that has come in that the next generation of the iPad will be launched as soon as in April with the iPhone 5S to follow in August.
China and India are the world’s two most populous countries and that is an incentive good enough for companies in every industry to see the two markets as one their most important markets. Apple, the giant that has changed the way the world uses smartphones could not really a change a lot of things in China and India because the iPhone in every generation has been quite steeply priced for both these countries.
But Apple seems to have realized that it can not sell the iPhone in these countries with such high pricing and the word has it that Apple is working on a cheaper sibling of the iPhone that could be priced around Rs.18,000-Rs.20,000 which is lesser than even half of what the iPhone 5 costs. Let’s face it, how many of us can really afford an iPhone? It costs a whopping Rs.45,000. So a cheaper version would surely make a lot of sense.
