iBall Splendo Intel-Powered Windows PC Stick Launched At Rs. 8,999

Microsoft in partnership with iBall has launched iBall Splendo PC Stick. This device converts a TV into a full fledged PC and a Smart TV which can be used for browsing internet, editing documents, watching videos or movies and more. It boasts of its fan-less design.

As far as specifications of the device are concerned, the iBall Splendo is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom processor coupled with Intel HD graphics and 2 GB RAM. Running Windows 8.1, it houses 32GB of inbuilt memory which is expandable via microSD card. On connectivity front, it comes with HDMI port, USB port, multi-channel digital audio, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 options.

Windows 10 Mobile Tipped To Launch In September

While Microsoft Windows 10 is set to launch by the end of July 2015, new report from Neowin has revealed that the Windows 10 Mobile will be released in September. With a difference of nearly two months, mobile users will have to wait download Windows 10 Mobile on their devices.

According to the leaked slide, both versions of Windows 10 Mobile- consumer and entreprise will be available “late next quarter”, which hints that the Windows 10 Mobile could arrive by the end of September. Microsoft Notifies About Free Upgrade To Windows 10, Release Date & Pricing Tipped

While Microsoft announced its plans to launch Windows 10 this summer, AMD’s President and CEO Lisa Su revealed that Windows 10 will debut at the end of July 2015. In line with the previous news, Microsoft has started notifying new or existing Windows 7, Windows 8.1 users about free upgrade to Windows 10 which the users will be able to download when available.

Furthermore, an online retailer Newegg.com has revealed the release date of Windows 10 as 31st August 2015. The computer hardware and software is also taking pre-orders for Microsoft Windows 10 Professional and Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM packages for $149.99 (roughly Rs. 9,500) and $109.99 (roughly Rs. 7,000) respectively.

Microsoft Announces Cortana For Android and iOS

Microsoft has announced Cortana for Android and iOS alongside Phone Companion app for Windows 10. With Cortana virtual personal assistant, users will be able to perform various tasks through voice commands. Phone Companion app will let users set up and sync data from OneDrive, Musicapp, OneNote and more on their devices.

Cortana for Android will be available at the end of June through Google Play and Cortana for iOS will be available later this year through App store. The Phone Companion app will be available in new Windows 10 Insider Preview build in the coming weeks.

Microsoft Surface 3 Goes On Sale: Price, Specs & Features

The Microsoft Surface 3 which was announced last month in April 2015 is now sale in select countries- Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States. Microsoft has also introduced a limited offer for customers in Canada, United States and Puerto Rico, where they can trade in their working Surface RT or Surface 2 to get up to $150 towards Surface 3.

The Surface 3 variant with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage is priced at $499 (roughly Rs. 32,000) while the variant with 4GB and 128GB inbuilt storage can be grabbed for $599 (roughly Rs. 38,000).

Microsoft To Launch Two High-End Lumia Smartphones Later This Year

Microsoft is reportedly working on its two high-end Lumia smartphones codenamed Microsoft Cityman and Talkman. Both smartphones are said to be running Windows 10 at the time of their launch in second half of this year. Furthermore, leaked specifications of both handsets have started making rounds on the internet. According to a publication named Unleash The Phones, the Lumia Cityman will come with an octa-core Snapdragon Qualcomm processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. It will feature a 5.7-inch QHD. Other specifications of the Cityman Lumia smartphone include a 20 mega pixel rear camera, 5 mega pixel front facing camera, 32 GB of inbuilt storage with expandability support via microSD card and a 3300 mAh battery.
