And now, they’ve entered into a partnership with one of the most popular youth centric channels in the country, MTV and has launched the first smartphone under the new branding, the Swipe MTV Volt which is a 6 inch Android based phablet and will retail at a price of Rs.11,999.

EKEN Leaport Budget Android Tablet Launched In India

There is not a single electronics manufacturer which does not realize the importance of the Indian market if they plan on being a global success. And the latest company to venture into India to satiate the hunger of the Indians on the technology frontier, is the Hongkong based electronics company EKEN Electronics who have just launched their budget tablets in the Indian market at an event held in Kochi.

‘EKEN Leopard’ will be the name of the range of tablets and they will be priced between Rs.6,900 and Rs.11,999. “India is an exploding market with huge potential for cost effective tablets. This factor influenced us to launch quality budget tablets in India and this will enable computing advantage to everyone”, is what Edison Chang, CEO EKEN Electronics had to say through a press release after the launch of the tablets and the message pretty much conveys the company’s intent.

Samsung Mobile India has launched new series of smart feature phones in India under the REX series. The product series includes 4 phones to start with, these are Samsung REX 90, Rex 80, REX 80 and REX 70. All these phones are quite value for money offering and comes with a screen size between 2.8 inch to 3.5 inch and include both single SIM and Dual SIM options. The USP of the products is high quality of display, smart looking form factor, single and dual SIM options, Samsung App store, social network applications and EDGE internet support.

JiaYu G4 Quad-core Android With HD Display And 2GB RAM For Rs.9000!

Budget Android market got up to a new level. JiaYu, a chinese brand plans to launch its phones in India anytime soon.
According to the Mobile Indian, the company says it will open its Delhi office in March and launch three Android phones in entry level, dual core and quad core categories priced at Rs 3,000, Rs 8,000 and Rs 9,000 respectively.

The high-end will be called JiaYu G4 and will feature 1.2 GHz quad core CPU based on Mediatek MT6589 chipset with 2 GB RAM. It will sport a 4.7 inch IPS panel with 720p that is 1280×720 pixel resolution. The phone will also feature Gorilla Glass 2 for screen protection against scratches.

UMI X1 Android Phone With HD Display and Dual Core Processor Launched At Rs. 9999

It’s raining mobiles. The Indian smartphone market is heating up like a brick factory with each passing day and the latest company to enter the budget smartphone business in the country is UMI mobiles which is a Chinese mobile brand and is not the first Chinese company to enter in the lucrative smartphone business in the country. And the company has chosen to target the likes of the Karbonn A21, Micromax A110 and iBall Andi 4.5 with its first offering, the UMI X1.

The UMI X1 is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich when every new handset out there will be launching with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and the smartphone comes with a 4.5 inch HD capacitive display with a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels and is possibly the best screen available for a price of Rs.9,999 at which it retails. The budget smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek MTK6577 1 GHz dual core processor which has been there in almost every budget dual core handset.
