Sony RX1 Compact Camera Launched In India At Rs. 1.79 Lakhs

The next Sony camera flagship has been launched in India and it is the Sony RX1. It was launched at PhotoKina 2012 first and then the countries starting receiving it. Sony has launched the RX1 camera at a price of Rs.1,79,990. It is pretty much a product that gives you the sheer joy of photography for the price you pay for it so even though it may look steep to some, it is not that steep.

The Sony RX1’s USP is that it is the first point and shoot camera to pack in a 35mm full-frame 24.3- megapixel sensor with a wide f/2.0 aperture fixed-focal lens. The sensor found in the RX1 is 2.3 times than most of the APS-C sensors in you’ll find on most DSLR cameras and is 7.3 times bigger than their own RX100 point and shoot camera.

On the day of new year’s eve, Samsung Mobiles cut down the prices of few of their galaxy models in India, looks like they wanted Indians to cheer the arrival of 2013 with their new Galaxy smart phones. The Korean smart phone maker has dropped the prices of Samsung Galaxy SIII, Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy S Duos and the Galaxy Ace Duos.

The LG nexus 4 (read as raw power) has been making waves world over due to the sheer processing power it offers at half the price of its competition. It was only correct that the device sold out in minutes wherever it was launched on the Google Play Store. Now there are a very few countries where it was available from Google and the rest have had to deal with the higher pricing at which LG is offering it.

India is one such country but the device even though has not been launched officially in India, is being sold by some online retailers. It first got listed on ebay and it was priced pretty well. The 8GB variant costed around Rs.25,000 and the 16GB variant costed around Rs.28000 on Indian websites when it launched in USA, but later on the prices were increased gradually by the sellers seeing the demand. It still managed to get a sold out notice. And now if you were looking to buy it from elsewhere, it is available but at a higher price.

Swipe telecom, a name that most of us might not have really heard in the Indian smartphone market has slowly started increasing its consumer base in India. The California headquartered company has just launched their next flagship Swipe F1 Phablet in India at a price of Rs.9,490 which is Rs.500 up from the pre-order price of Rs.8,990. The Swipe F1 phablet is a 5″ smartphone and shall compete with the Micromax A110 Canvas 2.

Swipe telecom has offered several budget tablets and is now trying to strengthen their phablet arena. The F1 is a dual-SIM 5″ phablet and runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice cream Sandwich with no announcement of a Jelly Bean update and runs on a 1 GHz Dual-core Mediatek MTK 6575 processor and assisting the processor is a 512 MB RAM. These specifications even though are not ground breaking, but still are similar to the rivals and are offered at a slightly lower price point.

Spice unveiled two new products for Indian market namely Spice Virtuoso smartphone and Stellar pad android tablet. The two products are priced at Rs.10, 499 and Rs.12, 999 respectively. The smartphone screen carries a screen of 4.5 inches along with a qHD resolution. The phone is also studded with two cameras at front and rear face with a resolution of 1.3. Megapixels and 8 Megapixels respectively. The other features includes a 1700-mAh battery, a memory card slot that gives storage access unto 32 GB and a full leather covers that covers the phone from tip to toe. The phone functions on an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
