There are news of Octa cores, Tegra 4, Exynos 5 processors and what not on the global cellphone scenario. But there’s a storm brewing up elsewhere in India which is no less than the global mobile competition, albeit at a smaller scale.
iBall , the brand which has Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan selling its products has soft launched another mobile phone in India which requires neither of the above to sell well. Its got a spec sheet which speaks for itself. iBall has brought in the next flagship Andi device named the iBall Andi 4.5H with a very capable Dual core processor and the thickness being just 9.9 mm and runs Android 4.0.4 . It has been launched at a rock bottom adjacent price of Rs.12,490.

HTC Budget Windows Phone 8– HTC 8S Launched At ₹19,359

The long awaited budget WP8 smart phone, HTC 8S is finally available for sale in India. HTC 8S is an entry level Windows phone 8 handset that was announced along with HTC 8X in November this year but wasn’t available anywhere. HTC 8S is the third Windows Phone 8 smart phone launched in India after HTC 8X and Samsung ATIV S. Online retailer Saholic.com has made the listing of the device visible with status ‘In Stock’ for ₹19,359.

Zen Mobile Launches 7 Inch Tablet PC UltraTab A700 At Rs.9499

When Zen mobile started its operations in India, it had its work cut out. They knew they were going to be competing with Micromax and hired someone to sell their products whom Micromax hadn’t. They had the power of Amitabh Bachchan but Big B could not really sell their phones that well. To enhance the youth appeal , they got Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone to sell their mobiles but even they could not sell the brand well. Then they realized that it were the products they needed to focus on and they better start concentrating on the product power rather than star power.

Zen Mobile had brought in the UltraTab A900 in October and today has launched its smaller screened sibling, a 7 inch inch tablet with ICS , namely the UltraTab A700 3G, for Rs 9,499. The USP of the tablet is that it offers 3G connectivity through a 3G external dongle as well as a SIM card. Adding to it are the voice calling capabilities of the device which lend it a big plus in its favour over other budget tablet makers. The screen is a 5 point Multi-touch capacitive unit with a 1.3 MP in the front for your video calling.

We just brought you the news of Karbonn bringing in a 5.9 inch mobile- A30. For some a phablet is pretty much a wastage of money and they want to enjoy the tablet experience separately. Karbonn Mobiles has just added another tablet to its Android Power tablet series but this one is a bit different from the rest.

Karbonn Smart Tab 10 Cosmic Tablet is the name and its specifications justify the long name it has. It will run on Jelly Bean OS (which is a big plus in its favour) and is available for ordering on e-commerce websites in India. Powering the Tab is a mammoth 6000 mAh power battery. The processing power is a bit of a surprise for us too. It packs in Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.5GHz but the details of the GPU are unknown.

Televisions are flooded with an advertisement of a guy running on a treadmill trying to put a thread in the needle. Those are about Karbonn’s duple series (Dual Core processor Phones) Android phones. Taking the legacy forward , Karbonn has launched yet another duple series phone in India, the Karbonn A30.

It was only a couple of days back that the reports of Samsung developing a 6.3 inch Galaxy Note III started pouring in. To us , it seems kind of a bit too much. 5.5 inches was fine but 6.3 is a bit of a overstretch. Coming to the stretching part, Indian mobile manufacturer Karbonn has stretched their flagship quite a bit from 4.5 inches to a whopping 5.9 inches.
