We earlier told you about Facebook’s new Newsfeed design. In this design Facebook has bigger images and it allows multiple feeds for different interests. Then it will give you more consistent user experience across mobile devices.Many of us already had new newsfeed on their Facebook profile, but many of us and my friends don’t has it. It’s a slow process of rolling out this new design and Facebook also commented on slow rolling of this new design, “We are beginning a slow rollout of this new design today. We will be testing and closely monitoring key metrics to optimize this experience for both users and developers. Our goal is to build the highest quality product for people, however long it takes.”
Micromax has announced the pre-bookings of its upcoming flagship phone from the canvas series, the Micromax Canvas 4. The Canvas 4 from Micromax will be launched in New Delhi India on 8th of July in a launch event. The pre-launch bookings are open at Rs. 5000 from today and the phone will start hitting the stores and shipping for online orders after 8th of July 2013. Talking about some of the unique features of Micromax Canvas 4, it will feature a slim profile with a full HD display of 1080p display resolution. Since most Canvas series phones are in the screen size of 4.5 to 5.5 inch, the Canvas 4 is also expected in a display size of around 5 to 5.5 inch only. Looking at the graphics in the teasers of Micromax Canvas 4, it seems to have a sleek profile which is expected to be around 9 to 10 mm in thickness.
Many of new Android users have a common complaint related to the typing experience on a touch screen android device, whether it’s a smartphone or a tablet. This problem is even more common with users who migrate from iOS to Android. Since the touch and typing experience of almost every android phone is different from the other because of screen size, touch keyboard size and moreover there are changes done to keyboard by many phone makers. Intel has announced in India the launch of 4th Generation of Intel Core Series processors on 26th June 2013. The new 4th Generation Core processors from Intel bring upon many improvements over their own third generation series to make them even better with two series including the M and U series. These processors will be used in mobile notebook devices and Ultrabook device.
These processors use new System-on-chip technology which helps Intel to cut down on the power consumption and improve on the functionality of the same processors with support for more features on the processors itself.
It is a known fact that Windows Phone is a developing mobile operating system unlike iOS and Android which are pretty much developed. Windows Phone lacks a proper file explorer and due to this the usual way of sharing files has been confusing. We did a little survey and found that people actually hunt for videos and tutorials for sharing media file over Bluetooth on Windows Phone 8. Huawei has launched the Ascent Mate 6.1 inch Phablet on 18th June in New Delhi India at a price of Rs. 24,900. This phone competes directly with phones like Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 (review here) which is priced at around Rs. 31,500 and has similar specifications and form factor.

Huawei, the Chinese smartphone maker has been gaining with speed in the global mobile market but the company has not been a great seller in the Indian market when it comes to mobile phones. It is now looking to turn its fortunes in India and the device it has chosen to do so is the Huawei Ascend Mate. It will be launched in the country in the first week of June with a price tag of around Rs.29,000 with the market selling price being expected to be priced below that.
Huawei Ascend Mate has a mammoth 6.1 inch HD display. The news comes courtesy of The Mobile Indian who have stated the information comes from their sources. The smartphone or rather the phablet has a RAM of 2GB and an internal storage capacity of 8GB which you can expand by another 32GB with the help of a microSD card. The smartphone will run on Android Jelly Bean and on top of that will get Huawei’s propreitary Emotion UI.
The phablet gets an 8 Megapixel camera at the rear while the front camera unit has a resolution of 1.3 Megapixel. The phablet has a 1.5 GHz quad core processor which will be doing the duty in the processing department. It will feature 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It will get the ability to run from a powerful 4,050 mAH battery which will double up as a powerbank as well which means you can charge off other devices from it too.
It will get a microSIM card and the user can access the device even while wearing gloves. The phablet will get the user dependent one hand operation functionality. You can use customise the device for single handed right hand or left hand operations which is a nice touch seeing the fact that it’s next to impossible to operate such a huge device with a single hand. The phablet will prove to be a worth competitor of the Galaxy Note 2.
So, will you buy the big smartphone which can do everything your tablet can? The only issue that Huawei might have is that the brand is not well known in India and people might be reluctant to pay out this much for a device from a lesser known brand.
