Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Prices Dropped- More Value For Money Now

Samsung’s share in the tablet market has been worst hit in India in recent times with the Indian electronics manufacturers raising the bar so high that Samsung’s well priced products seem to look overpriced and underpowered for the price they command. So in a bid to regain the lost share, Samsung has reduced the prices of its budget tablet, Galaxy Tab 2 P3110 which comes in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi and 3G avatars. The price drop places the Samsung offering at par with the ones from Indians manufacturers.

The Wi-Fi version of the tablet, Tab 2 P3111 which currently sells for Rs.13,999 now sees a reduction in price and will now sell for Rs.12,999 which is the price at which most of the decently specced budget tablets retail. The Wi-Fi and 3G version, Tab 2 P3110, which has been selling for a price of around Rs.18,000-19,000 in the Indian market, will sell for Rs.15,999 which makes it quite the VFM tablet in the price range and voice calling functionality adds to its appeal.

After the launching of Google play now Google also launched books on Google play in India. But still it does not launched movies and music for Indians. Books on Google play gives you access to millions of books of thousand of different writes and authors. It also let you read books on your smartphones and on web. Till you can only able to download apps and games from Google play but now you can also download books from it. You can also share them to your friends or family. You can give ratings to books and recommended them to others.

Firefox For Android 20 Beta Released- Supports Low End Phones Now

On 19 Feb 2013, Firefox 19 was launched for android. It has built in PDF viewer. So you don’t need a third party software to view pdf files on your android device. Before launching beta 20, users need to install a third party app. And the main problem with Firefox 19 is that it does not work on lower-end phones. It also does not has theme support and Chinese localization.

But just after a week, on February 25, 2013 Mozilla launched Firefox 20 removing all above issues. That shows the hardwork done by Mozila team on fixing issues. Now Firefox on android supports themes and Chinese localization Mozilla team also lowered the system requirement to 384 MB of RAM and QVGA displays. So it can also work on lowered end device. The LG Optimus G has come quite late to India compared to the rest of the world but the specs are by no means those of the yesteryear. It will run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and seeing that is the company’s flagship in the country, they should surely upgrade it to Android 4.2.2 as soon as possible.

Sony Xperial Z Android Tablet Launched At MWC 2013- Details

Sony was the centre of attraction at the CES 2013 and it made sure it did not get left out at the MWC 2013 as well. With most of the companies not showing their flagships at the MWC, Sony went on to showcase what they had with them in the tablet department. Sony unveiled the Xperia tablet Z and it will be the company’s flagship tablet from now on. And yes, it borrows a lot of things from the smartphone sibling, the Xperia Z.

Xperia tablet Z is a 10.1 inch tablet and with a thickness of a paltry 6.9mm, Sony believes that this will be the thinnest tablet in the segment. It comes with the OmniBalance design which we saw on the Xperia Z. It will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean but would get the 4.2 update as and when it reaches the retail stores. Powering it will be a as Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro asynchronous quad-core processor and it will come with IP55 and IP57 certification making it a water-proof tablet. Now that’s something none of the tablets out there has.
