Lava eTab Xtron 7 Inch Android Tab Launched At Rs. 6770

Acer recently announced the Acer Iconica B1 at a budget price of Rs.8,199 and we believed that this would lead to the Indian manufacturers of tablets dropping the prices f their budget tablets as people would any day prefer a budget tablet from an MNC over that from an Indian brand with similar specifications. But they could also launch newer products at a lesser price as well. And this precisely what Lava has done.

Lava has just introduced their first Jelly Bean powered budget tablet, the Lava eTab Xtron. The tablet can be all yours for a price of Rs.6,770. The tablet will be a 7 inch tablet and will have a capacitive display to complement the Android power it brings to the table. The 7 inch capacitive display has a resolution of 1024×600 pixels and being an IPS display unit, we expect the device to reproduce crystal clear images as well. The device comes with 8 GB of internal storage and the memory can be expanded upto 32 GB via a microSD card.

Lava Iris N501 5-Inch Android Phone Launched In India

The homegrown mobile and tablet manufacturer, Lava mobiles came to the rescue of Intel when MNCs like Samsung, Apple and Nokia did not agree to partner with Intel for their mobile processors. The partnership brought out a smartphone which was difficult to compete with, even by the smartphones from the Koreans and the Finns. But then again, you can’t depend entirely on just one smartphone and Lava realizes that very well.

As long as we are talking about realization, we would like to tell you that Lava seems to have realized the importance of the 5 inch phablet segment which is gaining popularity with each passing day and have launched a 5 inch Android phablet named the Iris N501. The phone comes at a price tag of Rs.9,999 and shall compete with the likes of the Micromax Canvas II, Zync Z5 dual core, Intex Aqua 5.0 to name a few and other 5 inch phablets from Indian and Chinese manufacturers which retail at a similar price point.

Lava ETAB Z7H+ Tablet Launched At Rs. 5499– Details

The Indian mobile and tablet makers seem to be on a roll for quite some time now and with the new year just starting up, they’ve just started launching new products as well. Lava first came on the mobile scenario at a global level when they announced their partnership with Intel to produce Intel powered Android smartphones and the Xolo branded flagship has proven its worth. Lava seems to be in the news once more.

Lava has just soft-launched the successor of their eTab and the newer version has been dubbed as e7H+. They’ve introduced the tablet with Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Indian market is crowded with budget tablets and it shall have a hard time making an impact in the budget tablet market. According to us, it is nothing more than just another tablet and instead it features a processor less capable than the outgoing version. It comes with 1 GHz single core processor whereas the outgoing model featured a 1.2 GHz processor.

Lava Iris N400 Launched At Rs. 6399

When Intel was looking for companies to use its chipsets in Android devices, not many came forward because the applications were always going to be limited due to the architecture of the chipsets. So, the Indian mobile maker Lava came forward and the result was Xolo X900 which was way way more an Intel product rather than a Lava product. But the brand’s aspirational value never really let the very capable (read as superfast) smartphone set the sales on fire.

Now Lava has been in news for quite some time since it’s been locking horns with the Indian mobile giants Micromax and Karbonn in the so called Premium Budget segment by offering the Xolo A700 and Xolo A800. But then again, there is always another market you could venture into and Lava has just entered a new segment with its budget offering, the Iris N400 Dual SIM Android smartphone which has been priced at Rs.6,399. It will be powered by a 1500 mAh battery and shall have 512 MB of RAM and 127 MB of internal memory which can always be expanded by 32 GB via a microSD card.
